Ride to Cure Diabetes
Congratulations to Kirrily Chambers,on her amazing effort with the Ride to Cure Diabetes.
Her personal effort has raised in excess of $2800 to support the JDRF.
It was incredible event where people from all over Australia met for the weekend, or just the day, to commemorate their fundraising and cycling achievements. The JDRF Team planned seamless event with a seriously fun itinerary, professional bike mechanics - and massages at the finish line!
Overall we raised 1.05 million which is an amazing effort but as we all know does not go far when it is used to research a very complex autoimmune disease.
Funds raised at the Ride to Cure Diabetes will make a serious impact. JDRF is currently supporting up to 40 Australian T1D research projects, with dozens more that we would like to support. Learn more about current research projects.

Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease that affects 122,300 kids and adults around Australia, and this number grows each year. It is a serious disease, where children and adults need up to six insulin injections every day or a continuous infusion of insulin through a pump, just to stay alive.
