Regional Manager - Vic North
Flexibility to travel and spend time with his family, while deploying his clinical knowledge to benefit older Australians is a rewarding balance that drives Mina Naguib.
Regional Manager Vic North for Ward MM, Mina says the most satisfying aspect of his work is utilising his clinical know-how and seeing people benefit as a result.
‘In one case, we saw a significant reduction in falls for a resident after partnering with their GP to reduce their sedative load, which was incredibly important for their quality of life.
‘These are true partnerships with GPs that we enjoy – in regular contact with the resident at the centre, alongside their next of kin and nurses – and we’re united behind the common goal of ensuring the best medicines management throughout their care journey.’
Mina says he enjoys the opportunities afforded him working as a clinical pharmacist with the organisation.
‘Previously, I’d spent over a decade in community pharmacy in multiple roles, and I love the independence and diverse experiences I now enjoy being on the road as an individual practitioner.
‘I’ve had fantastic support from the start, clearly understanding what’s required and seeing the unity of the Ward MM team in action, and setting my own calendar is a huge plus that enables me to prioritise what’s important, both in and out of work.
‘This could be attending Medicines Advisory Committee meetings that help ensure optimal, consistent care for residents, undertaking HMRs and RMMRs right across Victoria, as well as the all-important school drop-off run.
‘It’s true and transparent work-life balance, all year round.’Go Back
